BRIEF:

Tribal Gear is a San Diego, based “Southern California lifestyle-inspired clothing brand” that I grew up on. They have grown from a small street brand to an internationally recognized street culture business. They work with a lot of talented and amazing artists and I was happy and humbled to join the list of artists to do some artwork for the brand.

I was given artist’s freedom for the design but was told to go for the street/graffiti look.

SOLUTION:

A glimpse into a night on the streets of Southern California. Depth, textures, shadows and spotlights. Barb wire, brick, stone, cloth, shoes hanging from electrical wires, a “ghetto bird” police helicopter and the city in the background.
